On the reverse photo--is that a scratch running from the rim through the upper portion of the left wheat?

Probably an AU-55 with much luster left...

Possibly a 63 if what I see is weak strike and with ijn1944 on that looking like a scratch...

1934P's are known for normally being pretty well struck. Based on the pictures, the left wheat lines are a little weak but both appear worn.

I took a look at one of mine - which I think to be MS. I believe the coin below is a text book example of an MS-63 Wheat cent. The wheat lines and grains are typical of what you find on a 1934P.

I'm at AU-58 , more brown than red . I too are concerned about that mark on left wheat stalk .

Looking at the UNUM above the right wheat ear, I do believe this one has strike issues on the reverse. I'll know more when it arrives. The dealer had several of these, most with black specks, even with the staple scratch this was the best of the bunch for $4.
