Last one of the Night I am eyeing.
Curious your thoughts on this one and how you think PCGS saw it.

Very close in condition to the example in my collection.
VF-35

Thinning of the patina over the high points helps to highlight the wear.
I think I have managed to ignore this fact when I formed my opinion.
Some may like this sort of cameo, some may not, but doesn't worry me, either way.

The rim bruise at 6:00 reverse bugs me. Other than that a wholesome example. VF30 to me.

I will toss out that this is 1600.00 which seems high but there is not much recent to compare . Minus A Au-50 that went for 2200 on heritage and a Au details that went for 950 with fees . It was type 1/1 though

I'd say VF-35. 1600 seems ridiculously high.

I am at VF 25. I do not like the rim ding on reverse as the denticles are push up. $1600.00 is too much for the coin.

On the 1875 NGC AU 50 that sold at Heritage on Monday night. It sold for $2040. NGC has the AU 50 at $1200 that is below market, PCGS at $2000. I bid on the coin. I put my number at $1700 that was too low.

I'd normally wait but since this would be time sensitive.
PCGS VF-30 with A CAC green bean .
This coin last sold 3 years ago for about 1200 but these have been hot and hard to find.

If the cac changes anyones opinion on the price let me know. It's been a few years since I have seen anything in this grade . Cac or no cac . It appears scratches by the date are on the coin and the ones above the head are on the holder.

The CAC price guide list a 1875 VF 30 at $1150 and a XF45 at $1750. These are retail numbers.

Yeah Slider it is high but I have only seen one other straight grade offered in the last two years . So do I wait a few more or do I bite haha. I'm going to try and see if he will take a little less on this and see where it goes.
