Low-Ish Serial Number Questions

What is considered a low SN? I found a bill that is 900.

100 or less. Some consider 1000 or less.Condition is everything though.

Serial numbers with five or more leading zeros are literally on fire these days on ebay. Even ratty looking notes. It's insane. Type in "low serial number" on the ebay search box and then click on SOLD ITEMS. You will be amazed.

Traditionally, 999 and lower are considered low.

I agree with under 1000 being considered a low serial number, of course under 100 would be worth much more. The more zeros in front, the more valuable the bill.

Here is a discussion of low serial number values, typically below 999 is what you should pull for investigation which seems to be in line with what the others suggest that I'm in agreement with. You can sometimes use archive.org to reference currently or even sometimes permanantly offline web pages or see how they looked at a past date. There is no guarantee they will have every site or every page but more times than I can count is a great reference to know about.

I saved it from my teller drawer along with 2 nice crispy sequential $20 bill. I will post pictures later today.
