Finding What Looks Like Gear Or Teeth Gouges On Coins. What May Cause This

I have been finding a bunch of coins that have what looks like gear or teeth gouges. I have found them with 2 to 5 gouges on coins and I was hoping someone may have any information on this damage. I am wanting to know if this damage is done at the mint or is it done away from the mint.
Sorry for the pics I hope they are good enough to give an answer.

Those are contact marks from the reeding of another coin
hitting it. Quite common as this happens in the transportation
of the coins in bags. Known as " bag marks"

I agree, contact marks from the reeded edges of another coin.

These devices in the outer ring are incuse. As mentioned the Reed Marks damaged the fields, but the devices were deeper and not affected. Just a damaged spendable coin.
