Maybe I'm wrong, but this looks like it has the 1940 reverse on the back, worth anything?

The difference between a 1939 and 1940 reverse is in the steps
I don't know how you can tell the difference when the steps
are so worn, I know I can't.

Correct spelling

Looks to be the 1940 reverse. The serif on the "S" in Pluribus is a defining attribute - the 1938 reverse doesn't have that. Agreed that the steps can't be used in this case to confirm.

So I came across the 1938 with the 1940 reverse, and matched the Monticello's the O's e's AND THE Ce showed the doubling super close, I also matched the roof design tho worn like you folks said but matched the photos with the doubling in certain letters of Monticello.... It's how 8 came up with the title.
