Nice set of jetons, and it looks like an interesting mint/mintmaster's mark on that Saxony coin though I can;t quite make it out.

1610 was an evenful year in France:

On May 14 Henry IV was assassinated by the jesuit monk François Ravaillac. This was not a single event but one of several during the great religous turmoil in Europe during the 16th and 17th century (we'll see the gunpowderplot in England and the assassination of William of Orange as other examples during the newt weeks). Henry IV was king of France from 1589 to 1610 (first monarch of the House of Bourbon). He was baptized Catholic, but converted to Protestantism. This led to a serious conflict with catholic Spain. His policy towards more freedom of religous choice led to his assassination which happened while he traveled by coach in the streets of Paris, as seen in the drawing below:

Dugnniolle 3667 Dordrecht is a rare hybrid jeton, using the dies from two other pieces:
OBV Man sleeping (not on guard) amids weapons QVIESCO CIC IC CIX S C, identical to an earlier jeton (Dugn. 3651 from 1609)
REV is identical to the OBV of Dugnniolle 3667

The assassination of the king led to the succession of his son who was crowned in the cathedral of Reims as Louis XIII in sept 1610. He was 9 year old at that moment. His mother Maria de Medici became queen regent until 1617.

the third jeton (made in Nuremberg by Hans Krauwinckel (HK)) shows on the OBV a view of the city of Rheims and its defence walls (Rhemis) and on the REV a portrait of the newly crowned king

For much of my OFEY collection, I have picked up small silver or copper coins. 1610 is an anomaly--this Thaler from Saxe-Weimar is a hockey puck of silvery goodness.
