Quote: The Sixth is feeling the pinch The pressure is sure mounting. At the soonest, we have a little over a month left to get a 1388 CE (AH 790) on the board, before the 7th can catch up. However, I'm optimistic and have a feeling that we could get the 6th as low as 1373, if all of the players contribute. Time will tell. If not, then the 7th could be breaking some new ground.

Time will tell. 1373 is a little optimistic but a few more dates in the 1380s for sure! And it would be great if we'll get to see Spence's 1375 Aachen coin in the 6th edition. (Unfortunately, if I hadn't miscounted, 1373 wouldn't quite be enough to let the 6th edition continue into August unless we also end up stalling for at least a few days in this one.)

@j1m... yes a little optimistic, granted....time will tell. Either way, I think jbuck should be greasing up the bearings on the 8th edition.

For sure it will be fun to see where we end up! Here is a Groschen from Aachen dated 1420 AD. For whatever reason, this particular date is relatively common and so I picked it up early in my OFEY collection. I have attributed it as Levinson I-15.

Another Groschen today for me--this one is dated 1419 AD and attributed as Levinson I-14:

@spence, wow, so many super coins in these decades! Here is a 2 groat coin of the Duchy of Brabant struck in Maastricht, that can be dated to 1419 (still seller's photos): Copyright Jean Elsen et ses Fils

Well done @tdz. I'm hoping for some help tomorrow though as 1418 Ad is still a hole in my OFEY collection.

I've got the next three years and then I'm out until the 1360s.
