1969 S Proof Nickel - Heavy Thickening At The Base Of The Type (Variety, Damage Or An Error?)

Hello wonderful folks here,

I have a 1969 S Proof Gem (its slabbed, but not graded), light gold toned.
There are some curious thickening on the lower part of the font on obverse. I am not sure what it is and would love your input. Thank you.

The slab is worthless, not from the reputable grading company... But the coin is very nice..

Would be fun--perhaps not immediately possible--to have a photo of a 'proper' comparison proof next to the one in question.

Possible partial Grease Filled Die on the bottom of the devices? They are tapered and could be wider due to grease not allowing the top of the devices to strike properly.

First thing to do on wondering is to look at PCGS to see if it is normal or not compared with examples on their site:

There was also a RPM on that year. But they look pretty much the same size. (This one is a Cameo)
