Massachusetts Tercentenary Souvenir Medal

Shepard Pond catalogs this Massachusetts Bay Colony Tercentenary medal as No. 3.

It was produced in large quantities by the Cammall Badge Company of Boston, MA.

The sailing ship on the obverse is the Arbella which was named after Lady Arbella, the daughter of the Earl of Lincoln. The Arbella brought the Charter of the Massachusetts Bay Company to the colony in 1630. The somewhat rudimentary portrait on the same side is that of Governor Winthrop, a Governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony during its early years.

The hue leads me to believe it's brass.
