@pris, sounds like you've got a lot going on. Time to take a deep breath and relax for a minute. For this cent, where exactly are you seeing doubling? Normally, it seems to show mostly on areas like the Y of LIBERTY, IGWT, and Abe's eyelid, but those all look relatively normal in these pics. Maybe you are seeing something different with the coin in hand?

This is a normal large date cent. The small date dies were a recreation of a new, Master hub, thus the devices are smaller. The previous large date hub had swollen, altering the devices on the old, master hub. This happened since 1969 when another master hub was also created to replace a swollen old Master hub. To learn more on this subject read the following links: What differences are to be found on the Large Date and Small date 1982 cents?http://goccf.com/t/428499#3680051How can I tell for sure I have a large or small date 1982 cent?http://goccf.com/t/422054#3632659What causes the devices to touch the rims on the 1968 cents?http://goccf.com/t/414010#3557054Why do we have large and small dates on certain years?http://goccf.com/t/397052#3397848What does swelling of the master hub create?http://goccf.com/t/393330#33653781982 Quarters Swollen master hubhttp://goccf.com/t/372218Looking back at topics and dates, this CoopHome page started in 2016. But most the later pages have the most up to date answers to questions. I see 2021 - 2022 posts compose more of the whole sites information. So it would probably be better to start at the last pages first. This has been on going different way of posting, but I think I like the newest pages better to find the information you are looking for. Thanks for all the images and topic questions on the site. It makes me think even deeper. This is a great Community effort. Thanks for all you guys do as well.

i will thanks coop and I'm not sure if I like the 1982 anymore jk it has so many different varieties and errors it has a lot going on and one more question about the 2.5 gram cent I noticed that it has a small date and a large date does it make one or the other more collectible than the other

There sure are a lot of 1982 cent varieties (7 business and 1 proof) out there. We get tons of questions about them all the time.
