ok I have a 1975 D nickel I'm thinking the damage to it happened from a coin machine did it right and I know this probably wont bring a premium I'm just checking to see if anything you guys have been trying to teach me hasn't just went into one ear and out the other

Top of the head might be from a machine? Type vending/counting/wrapping damage in the search box upper left of page and see pics of them.

Agree, might be slight Wrapping Machine Damage on Jeff's head, but mostly just beat up.

yes, the circle carved in Tom's hair is damage, and this coin may have spent some time cycling through casino slot machines
