This kind of Trade dollar I can't figure out, and I see them all over. They are PL business strikes, and I think most of them get this effect from being cleaned yet they are straight graded by TPGs. This particular example has a halo effect around Miss Liberty's outstretched arm. These photos are a bit funky so the effect could be the result of poor photography. This coin also has a loss of luster across all high points. My personal assessment from these photos is AU-58 Cleaned. This looks like an ICG holder, and I know they overlook minor cleaning a lot of the time. They probably said MS-62PL.

Jason- I'm not seeing the cut denticles under the date in the obverse of the coin. I do see the die cracks in the reverse across STATES OF AMERICA.  According to this website, there are no Prooflike 1876 Trade dollars across the 4 large TPGs. https://www.nostomania.com/servlets...tem_id=13421Looks to me like the strike is too sharp and the details too vivid for this to be a business strike but I could be wrong. It wouldn't be my first time.

This looks like a nice coin. These are hard even in hand and many are cleaned. My initial impression was MS-62/63.

I agree with JasonKflo - variety 13 business strike. The grade would only be a guess from these images.

This is an interesting example. The coin has proof like qualities with a full strike on claw holding the arrows, and some other areas of the coin like the breast and other claw have a soft strike. I agree with the business strike, but the reverse die may be from a proof as a couple of the proof dies were used for the business strike. I am putting it at a slider AU58 to MS62.
