1985 Lincoln Cent Possible Errors - Coin Community Forum

Schism New Member United States 29 Posts	Posted 08/27/2022 06:54 am I found this 1985 Lincoln Cent that appears to have a die crack on the reverse bottom of Memorial. Also posiible doubling on the upper area of Lincolns ear and possible die clash. There seems to be another image on the obverse. Most likely there wont be any mint errors. Please bare with me. I'm fairly new to coin collecting and have so much to learn. Also possible doubling of Lincolns beard on Libcolns neck.Thanks everyone, Report this Post to the Staff

Maybe add a close-up pic or two of these others areas of interest? Are you using a reference site like Variety Vista or Wexler's die varieties when looking for doubling? I highly recommend that you do. The vast majority of doubled die varieties for any given year will be listed there, which makes it much easier to identify and confirm doubling on your own coins. Report this Post to the Staff
