Just wondering if there was a specific reason why Dansco decided to create slots for the silver "S" coins for some of its albums (i.e., dimes, quarters, and halves). I believe the San Francisco mint is adequately represented by clad coins for dimes, quarters, halves.

Does anyone know?

I don't think anyone knows exactly why Dansco does some of the things it does. I would imagine some people would ask why they didn't include them in some albums as well.

The albums are labeled as "including proof-only issues" and those silver S-mint coins are indeed proof only. I am also sure people demanded it. I know I enjoy having the place for them.

As for those who are waiting on albums that include the business strike S-mint quarters, I would not hold my breath. There is only one hole for when Philly had both versions (1964 and earlier), so they probably use the same logic for the S-mint holes... you choose one or the other.
