They are hand punched. So they can be anywhere inside the normal target are. This one at one time had a reward for the first one found. But that ended a few years ago. So they are just normal coins now.

to the CCF Looks like you found one, but as Coop says. There might be a small premium for it now.

First photos show the high MM variety. Damage the coin is in very bad stage which took out the premium for this variety. No collector will buy this coin.

The high mintmark nickel carries a considerable premium, even in this condition.

Never heard of that one. If Mr. Diamond says so it's got to be desirable. I like it as well! Definitely keep it and if you are wondering a value look on ebay or heritage auctions.
I haven't done any research on your coin or could tell you more.

Did some research. You have a very very rare coin. You should post full coin pictures and we could give you an idea of the grade.

For this coin I will challenge Mike over the prices. I know Mike you has an article for this somewhere in 2017 or 2018 (I am not good with dates) After this article if I am not wrong David obtain one for something in almost VF for 25$. Him pay because want to see and analyze. things I do also. From this moment of your article prices skyrocket due to the YouTube.

The reality of this coin is it is not very rare coin. Is estimated at least 500K coins like this was strike (In fact was see two versions with different orientation) so must be somehow 1 million. Is 1975 so relative new coin and we know that the Nickel coins has longer life then all others denominations. Second (I do not see hole coins to pronounce on grad) seem to be a coin in AV. In AV high premium?

In this case what you say about Quarter 1956 Type B only 341 know and in MS? Or what I have: the only one SMS 1966 Type C or only one 1969-D Type D and etc. etc. and all in MS?

Can you explain us this?

PS: to complete this I see the MM bigger then any other's D of this year?!!? , sorry default of someone who investigate reproductions.

Sil here's an auction record. There is only five of these known at the time of the auction. I would say this is a $500 coin bud. https://www.PCGS.com/auctionprices/...873146161329

@WILL, I will show here the certify (two) coins. First it is an AU 58 and second the only one in MS65 late die stage. At this moment only 17 was certify and only this two pass over AU 50. In the last time Stanton attributed FS-401 to this variety. You do not thing it is strange that an 1975 coins who it is all over has so little appearances? Think off this prospectus. Analyze the MM of the really one and then tell me what we see on sale. Who want to pay to pay. The best auction for a coin like this was 700 in XF and not on the stage of the OP coin.

Before to pronounce more on this I will like to see better pics from OP, but refuse to give us.

Yesterday I put the originals photos of those coins. Today I will put you the forensic on the OP coin. The result IT IS A FAKE HIGH MM. I put on forensic soft because I has to do an extra for an agency, so I do for my fun also this.

Please see the difference in the angle. Was only one die use, so no way to has two different position from one die. The angle admitted for tilde it is 1.25 deg pixel. Enjoy.
