That is pretty unusual, makes me wonder if this was struck that way, or if it was another job done after its initial minting? It is neat looking and quite interesting a curio.

@mr, I'm no expert on Euros, but it looks to me like this token uses the overall design of the Euro, but isn't an actual official coin that has been re-struck with a new obverse and enameled.

It almost looks cast. Am wondering if a clay or similar mold was used on a Euro coin and the other side custom created. The 'coin' was cast and then enameled.

It looks like a coin that has gone through a slot machine for quite a while, then recently enameled on the one side.
