tropicalbats Pillar of the Community United States 6108 Posts	Posted 09/05/2022 02:41 am Found a small nest of these over the summer and just hit them while attributing stuff I threw in a tube. This is the best one, but all are quite nice with just some light spotting. I've never been quite sure why, but this variety has always been one of the more popular Wheat cent varieties for a non-FS die. 1957 D/D Lincoln Wheat cent doubled die - DDO-002, RPM-005 If you would like the second best one, all you have to do is PM me the common name of an endangered species of bat that hibernates in Mammoth Cave National Park, along with the (correctly spelled) scientific name. This is a flash contest, ending at exactly 3:00pm Eastern Time on Monday, September 5 (about 12 hours from when this is being posted) so I have enough time to get the coin in the mail. The first person to send the correct answer wins the contest, and the winner will be posted as soon as there is one and I'm awake enough to check my messages. And, we have a winner! CoinHI will receive the coin and it'll be out in the mail tomorrow. Congrats! Ah yes, the winning answer, among the couple possibilities, was Gray Bat (Myotis grisescens).
