I have a NNC well done grading coin I believe. I have heard mumble's that sending it to be regraded will get me a Detailed coin as well. As has been done when I have took my coin to dealers who have been interested; until they see the NNC holder then my coin is a DETAILED/Washed coin immediately. To be honest who really cares if NNC,PGCS, etc etc graded it (respect to the HOBBY and PROFESSIONAL Hobbiest or what we have now & )what happened to the principal of COIN and not "HOLDER"? to be Clear, I think PCGS has lately been sketchy on their grading and MS+ Grade some below value coins. Their predictable down to the year as soon as I see yellow Toned only on the edges Morgan I know it's ms+ above grade grading, if it's in a PCGS HOLDER. but when PCGS see's purple or blue toning they will under grade the coin as if to punish it for being just as brilliant and beautiful. We all have seen PCGS MS66 coins without cartwheel brilliance but will undergrade a cartwheel brilliant coin. We are losing the significant importance of the Hobby "The Coin" not the holder. But now to my NNC held MS64 1837 Cap Bust 50c "COIN"(magnificent) BUT I WAS TOLD WAS A DETAILED COIN AND THAT IT WAS WASHED, only because it was held in a NNC holder I only trust ANACs and I* No typo ** Cheers*** & Edited by UnkleDo 09/07/2022 11:53 am

Let's see some better pics including a reverse.

If it was me, I would send it to ANACS at the least because they charge the least. For a bit more you could send it to PCGS and that would get you a bit more at selling time. Please post good full coin photos front and back and we will help you grade it properly.John1

From the picture, I think that the coin is beautiful and would love to own it even if it has been cleaned. I have a couple of coins (not as nice) that look similar, but they have old cleanings that have retoned. They are still lovely tough.
The grade on the coin is only as good as the expertise and reputation of the company who graded it, and the current state of affairs is that only the big 3 of PCGS, NGC, and ANACS are considered to be reputable.
Given that there is a long history of basement slabbers overgrading coins and selling them to unsuspecting buyers for a large profit, it is quite reasonable for buyers to be wary or even automatically suspicious of the basement slab. It's probably more of a liability than a benefit that the coin is slabbed by NNC.
It sounds like you took your coins to dealers and they saw the coin in hand and determined that it had been cleaned. They likely have as much expertise as NNC, and they understandably have no interest in getting stuck with an overgraded details coin.
If you think the coin is properly graded, submit it to one of the big 3 and get an expert opinion that others can trust.

NNC and Centsless have a long history of being less than honest in regards to grading. If you do a search on this or any other forum you'll pull up a long list of complaints.
Crack it out and submit to ANACS.

It has some weird spots on the obverse that are cleaned/wiped.
The hairlines are too many.
There is clear luster/original skin loss from her nose down to her bust.
Behind her as well from bottom of cap to end of her hair.
There is a halo effect going on as well.
It's cleaned imho.

Its a nice looking coin, but the hairlines are the signs its been cleaned. It would get a details grade. Take it out, put it in a 7070 and enjoy it as the nice coin it is.

Not sure it's been cleaned, but perhaps just mishandled. I think ANACS is a good idea.
