so this coin will be difficult to grade from a screen because of the toning, but this coin is super clean I can find any contact marks in the field on the obverse there is just a couple nicks on the bottom of the neck and few tiny chatter marks on the high part of his hair, and the only chatter on the reverse is the obvious chatter near the eagle's butt feathers, from looking at PCGS coin facts this coin looks to have the same amount of marks as some of the MS67s but I think this coin is in and around the 66 66+ area. last 2 pics are me proving luster lol. Thanks for looking.

Yeah thanks coinfrog, the toning really does make it impossible to see the cheek and fields

Due to lack of circulation, very few '64 Kennedys are below XF grade.

Very common to see them in the MS-62 to MS-65 range.

MS-69 and MS-70 still valuable on the US collector market, because they are obtainable, which increases the demand for them.

pretty much impossible to assess. I can tell you that for whatever reason this type of toning does not alter grades on silver from what I've seen so it comes down to what you can see in hand for surface preservation.

the range would be imo MS64-MS65
PCGS has graded over 9000 coins in these two grades. I think the strike and marks we can see will keep it out of the 66 box but you never know with a coin like this. in any case it doesn't have enough value to slab even at 66

Too, I'm thinking MS64. The shield (reverse) is showing some dings on the lower part--tail feathers as well.

It's MS but the toning could be hiding a lot of marks. Sorry, can't grade this one from photos.

A lot of here have rolls of these and the "D"s...I'm just too chicken to try for the MS-67 because in 66 they would be so deflating...and the "D"s coming back at 65 would make me cry.
Bet that toning looks cool in hand under the right light!

yea, I'm still probably going to get the coin graded but I would send it to ANACS with my other Kennedy DDOS I'm sending in for authentication, so it wont hurt that bad if I get a bad grade. wont hurt like NGC or PCGS lol

I really don't think this would be worth the cost to have it graded, but that's just me.

Yea indiangoldeagle I understand its most likely not but its like maybe 14 dollars a coin and I'm sending in a few so maybe 4 bucks for shipping and I got the coin for free so I'm really only losing 18 bucks.
