Tiniest amount of wear on the obverse suggests
AU-58,
reverse a bit better.
However, the rather conspicuous lack of dings and scratches consistent with AU-58 could well lift it above the grade that I have suggested.

Certainly not less than AU-58. Mid MS would not surprise.

Slight high-point rub and muted luster suggest AU-58. If it makes the mint state cut the smooth surfaces and lack of major contact marks could support an MS-63 grade.
Rest in Peace

I'm at AU58 based on these images.

edit to add - looks like some green goo that needs to be eradicated.

Thanks for replies, so far it's about what I expected the guesses would be. I'll refrain from giving anything away until tomorrow. I also noted the green tint but will have to wait until the coin is in hand, hopefully it's just the way some of the turquoise toning looks in images. The die crack on reverse adds character but it's pretty common in that area.

Agree with others above. I am leaning to the MS-63 side.

I'm guessing if the luster's there this will look much cleaner in hand than it does magnified, MS-62 is a grade right?

AU-58, NGC may have bumped it to MS.

ill say ms63 because of hits on the face. The coin has uncirculated details I dont see much luster but it could be the pictures.

Nobody hit the bullseye. MS61.
I'm often perplexed by an MS61 grade. If they think it's uncirculated, why isn't it 62 or 63? I think of 60-61 as pretty beat up but still without wear. This one doesn't look that banged up to me. Will have to wait until it arrives and see.

I'm pleased with the purchase - an ugly AU55 sold for the same price the week before. There were only two Barber dimes in the auction and the other was a 1892 Details so the bidders were there for other stuff I guess.

the only thing I can think of is the subdued luster. luster and strike not enough for a 63 so the only option is 61 or 62 depending on who is grading it. remember TPG's are not always correct in their assessment.
