What would you grade this lady? I think it is an O-108, which like most 1807s, normally suffer from weak strikes (especially center for both sides). This one does not seem too bad These are sellers images, so I all have:

I think this one makes a VF25, a nice looking early bust half and I'm not seeing any real major issues with it.

definitely strike issues can be noted here. the stars, date and letters along with the hair ties and folds in the drape are all pointing to an XF coin as well as the stars, cloud definition, lettering and shield on the reverse.
i'd call it XF40/45 net VF35 and a real nice circulated example

well you have a pretty good spread here from 25 to 45 with a pretty wide range of value between them.  probably doesn't help much. what were your thoughts on this one?

I would have no problem paying VF-35 money for this one. Great original coin with no issues. Don't grade this one by Liberty's hair.

Quote: Don't grade this one by Liberty's hair. yep. these are good tests for those not familiar with grading early silver, what looks like wear may not be. these are coins that the overall coin must be considered. particularly the high points which really should determine grade. i always use the lettering, date, stars and hair ties and lettering and shield on the reverse to determine grade. you almost have to ignore everything else
