The other day I decided to take a stroll through a pawn shop in a town that I was visiting to see family and they had a pretty neat looking lot of cull Morgan dollars there for $25 each that I swiftly picked up. After going through them after I got home, I discovered that one of them is a fairly desirable key date that goes for a couple hundred even in cull condition!!! I think that the coin is good enough for a VG08 or a VG10 but the reverse has some pretty significant damage that might hold it back from straight grading. What do you think? Worth grading?

I don't know if it would grade, but there is a similar condition 1903-O now on ebay with 17 bids at $406.

Nice score! VG-10, probably won't straight grade.

VG-10 details, scratched. A rare bird, finding an 03-O this worn is amazing.

Nice score for $25. Concur with the others that it would likely receive a details grade at a TPG.
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.art
