Hello again all. So I again have myself in need of experts. So I've been all over the place trying to find a DD like mine. Most I've found are with the oh ummm lame leg or whatever lol. But as you can see the word LIBERTY has split serif's which from everything I've learned is part of double die. Maybe I'm wrong wouldn't be a first time. But can anyone direct me to how I can find out if it's actually doubling? Or in need of more pictures? Just let me know. As always thank you.

Ok so. I've found it. Sort of. It's exactly like Silver Proof. Obverse is ODV-006 (Peg Leg). FS-106. The problem. Mine is not peg leg and it's only the Liberty that's exactly the same. After the photos go to igwt nothing is the same. What's that mean?

No need for kisses, but glad to hear that I was of some help. If you think it is FS-106, then everything should match. Can you please post a close-up of the W in WE or the first T of TRUST? Thx.

The mint mark is just MD, but I do see the split serifs on the devices. I don't know a ton about Ikes, but weren't "peg legs" determined to just be a die abrasion issue like "no FG" or "three legged buffalo"? If so, then an early die state of a peg leg would just have the normal R, and you could find any doubled die that exists on peg legs on normal obverse as well.

Correct. Just polished die examples. They are die events. Not die varieties. Before the polishing, the dies were normal.

So in our conclusion this would be DDO at an early stage?

Quote: but weren't "peg legs" determined to just be a die abrasion issue Not all peggers were created by abrasion. Some were by design.
