I just found a 1883 in a sealed stapled package. It says prf(im guessing proof)and also the word gem or g5m.It looks untouched and in very great condition.Any idea on the value?

Highly unlikely that this is a proof coin. A lot of times of something is old and nice and shiny most people assume it's proof like. Anyone could have written that note on the 2x2 holder.

Very hard to tell from the pics for grading. The Obverse pics were too blurry so I didn't post them.

Feel free to shoot me some more pics if you can get a bit more clarity. However all you need to do is crop them like I did and make sure they are under 100k.

Thanks for posting the pictures.I have a little knowledge of coins but this one looks almost pristine with only a slight grove mark when punched. On a search it looks just like the mirror image of one posted for auction. The package stapled was from my wife's Father and he was a collector.I will post some more detailed pictures and once again thanks!
