1) what is wrong with this coin? If it is damaged what might have happened to it?
2) why do some parts of the letters are missing?
3) what are the doublings on the reverse and the obverse?

All the incuse areas you are seeing on the bust design is Machine Doubling. Some MD on the Motto areas and the wider flattened devices are from circulation flattening. (not a doubled die, but coin damage) Machine Doubling on the reverse areas circled areas. Machine can affect both sides of the coin and depending on how loose the machine is, can do strange alteration on the coins devices. The '1' on the date is from over polishing to remove a die clash at one time. Incuse mark on the cheek is damage onto the coin. Just a spender coin. (Unless you are saving copper for melt)
