Need some input on this coin! Not sure what kind of error it falls under and not sure if I should have it graded!

What are you seeing as a possible error? I see no errors I see a stained coin.

What does the reverse look like?

Given the single pic posted, I'm not seeing any errors. Lots of staining, perhaps a thin layer of crud. For fun, try giving the coin a long soak in 100% acetone. Might clear things up a bit.

to the CCF

It is only an error if it happens during the striking of the coin.
Seeing what you have could not have happened at that time,
then it is damage, no matter what the cause.

When the foreign substance was removed from the coin, it was shiny there, but now, it is not. At one time they used to put varnish on BU coins. But they realized that it wasn't good for the coins. (Altered the surface)
Grading a coin worth Less than 5 cents, and spend $50, is out of my price range.
