DL20K Pillar of the Community Poland 3201 Posts	Posted 02/23/2009 06:51 am Opinions as to how to call this error, why does the coin have a second "A", what lead to minting a coin like this, and how did they mint the coins back then - are all welcome. KurtS Pillar of the Community United States 5318 Posts	Posted 02/23/2009 12:21 pm I like how the double struck areas look spread out with the widely-spaced A, as if the planchet became larger on the second strike? I noticed the spelling too and by checking coins on ebay, I see the different spelling as early as 1814. Report this Post to the Staff

First when have rapped out a coin it not about it was minted.
