Hi I was hoping to get some help with this 1971 D nickel it looks shiny like a proof coin would but they didn't make a denver proof that year any thoughts thanks. Oh I also took a picture of the 1971 with a 2020 trying to show how shiny it is.

Not a proof coin,it is a business strike coin.Might have been buffed or polished after it left the mint.

The difference? Business strikes are only struck once. A proof strike is struck twice, making the devices stand out a lot more and the fields shine a lot more.
