I agree with. for me it is an 30 not 35. I like been a lite woody coin.

Photos are a bit dark. I could see VF35, but better images would help me feel more confident (or not).

The pics/coin appear quite dark on my monitor but it looks VF+ to me.

i love the 09s vdb it was the first key I ever purchased. got mine when I was 16 and saved up for an XF40. cost me $120 in 1969

i think they were a tad generous with the grade here. the obv does appear to be a weaker strike so maybe they took that into consideration. I would grade it VF30+. they may have bumped it with a little stronger reverse

I am wondering why the circular area around the mint mark is about the same color as the reverse.

Agree, just under EF-40 due to some flattening of the wheat grains.
