Hey Guy's just found this nice 2013 D Shield with die cracks reverse. Cracked under pressure! Lol.

not die cracks, looks like split plating to me - but I have not seen it happen on the flat fields before..

@Dearborn that was what I was thinking too at first. But I thought maybe pressure was the cause of the cracks especially at the upper part of the coin and the cracks do look different like you said more like a crack that came from splitting but I thought splitting from some type of pressure. And like you ive never seen this happen on fields.

Zincolns do not have laminations. Not a die crack IMHO,a plating issue. Trapped gas is my guess.

Looks like a linear plating bubble on that area. It should flatten with a toothpick.

@Coop I just did the toothpick test and no parts are sinking or collapsing and the raised areas are hard and the toothpick is just sliding right over the top.I don't know.

Imo just a defective copper plating.
And those can always look so different from coin to coin. Anyhow nothing that adds value here. not really spectacular

Well it could be a scuff from coin contact then. Note the three areas affected.
