Numista specifies the weight to be 13.1g, this piece is overweight at 13.7g The Obverse with the coin in 2X2 cardboard flip The Reverse with the coin in 2X2 cardboard flip The Obverse for a clearing view The Reverse for a clearer view Below are pics of the diameter and thickness with a rather crude Vernier: 13.7g Is this a dual type error coin? Is it Cud error with Die rotation error (I measure 15 degree) or a Counterfeit? What are your opinions? Thank you Report this Post to the Staff

These are struck in copper or brass or even overstruck over old Empire cash coins. 2014Cent Valued Member United States 90 Posts	Posted 11/29/2022 10:46 pm Those "patches" are known as " Cuds". That's where part of the die that struck the coin broke away, leaving a raised area with no design elements on the coin. Report this Post to the Staff
