1957 D Lincoln Cent With No L Or On Reverse

1957-D-Lincoln-Cent-With-No-L-Or-On-Reverse

I am trying to find out if this is an error with the L in liberty being cut off on the front of coin. Also on back The E and P and L on top of coin seem weird.

That is common for the 'L' to look like that

When the dies reach the later die states, then the 'L' gets even closer.

The obverse and reverse images are not of the same coin.

The reverse should be a "wheatie", you are showing a memorial reverse 1959 - 2008.
Also the L is normal for that year.

@pez, I agree with the comments above but would only add that there is a small die chip in the number 5 of the date. This was pretty common in the 1950s and doesn't add numismatic value to this coin.
