Good afternoon coin community. This dime caught my eye due to its color and I'm wondering how it ended up this
Tone. Also are the markings under the leaves on the reverse a result of a die clash or PMD? Lastly, how can I tell if it's a San Francisco no mint error proof or a Philadelphia minted coin? Thank you in advance.

Guessing this is environmental toning of some sort, perhaps from being buried at one point.

With this much env. toning you could still see the differences between a proof and business strike. The proof would have sharper devices. Around the reverse of this coin, the letters trail off the closer to the rim that they get, a proof wouldn't do that.

@sbg, the best way to figure out if you have a coin showing a die clash is to look at an overlay to figure out if any detail from the other side might line up with the odd marks. This isn't a 100% methods, but works in the overwhelming majority of cases.
