Just started collecting and found a really shiny nickel and saw this odd strike on the reverse through all the words. Multiple letters and mint mark on obverse also DD. I can't find any information on this coin anywhere. Can any one let me know if this is worth anything please? It's a 1984 s that is a proof coin I found in circulation. Still very shiny and clean only a few minor scratches and I think the stairs are full but I don't know what the line of decision is on that one.

@step, first welcome to CCF. Second, that circumferential line that you see especially through UNUM and AMERICA, is not a mint error but rather a scratch from a coin rolling machine.

with Spence it was an 'ender' in a coin roll and the crimping machine marked it up.
Now it is just an impaired proof.

Or a vending machine scratched it. The coin wrapper damage is usually more towards the center of the devices on the highest areas of the designs.
