Machine Doubling and a (post mint) hit to the rim that displaced/deformed the metal onto the face of the coin.

In my opinion when the master hub strike on the planchet,a die chip hit onto the rim and push towards to the face design simultaneously, so it should not be a post-mint damage variety.

In fact I see a couple more rim dents in the obverse photo.

A damaged coin is all I see, with either machine or die deterioration doubling (the coin is too circulated and worn to be certain).

Usually the most common error you see in this series are lamination peels from flawed planchets.

Errors from the Canadian King George V series are not that common. Even clips are very scarce. I am lucky to have a few decent errors from that series, only because I was lucky when they popped up now and again.
