Hi everyone. I got this copper coin in a lot some 3 years ago and never did anything with it.

I suspect its an Ottoman, Iranian, Azeri, Middle Eastern or Indian Islamic coin, the text looks Arabic, but some other script too.

For-Once-I-Need-Help,-Old-Islamic-Or-Indian-Copper-Coin.

The coin weighs around 4 grams and is about 21mm at its widest point. It is holed as well.

Could somebody please tell me who issued it, face value and how old it is, if its dated. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

I know its likely to be of minimal value ($2 at most?), but do not more care, much more interested in its vintage and background.

Oh my goodness, thank you so much!!! I honestly thought it would be 16th century or later or my luck, some Indian piece from like 1865.

A nice surprise, 13th century! That places it some 330 years before my next newest coin a 1551 shilling and 870 years after my 352AD Constans Follis.

You have to be happy with that. Very nice piece.
