Found this one at a small-town coin show yesterday. Paid $85 for the coin but the dealer was unaware of the error. Probably not a huge premium on this but so far I've been unable to find another one with this degree of rotation so likely pretty rare. It is not listed in the rotated die census.

Does this sort of thing bring a meaningful premium?

I certainly would on a Lincoln Cent, but hopefully someone here can answer that question for a flying eagle. I am thinking to slab it nonetheless since it's a cool error and coin is in decent gradable condition.

That's a nice one. I have a '58 LL rotated a perfect 90 degrees. Supply is low, but demand is too. The old rule of thumb was that a rotation between 90 to 180 degrees, at least on the FEs and IHCs adds a $25 premium. Not much has changed, despite the asking prices on ebay.

Thanks! Seems like slabbing it would be a cost loser but probably go for it anyway next time I can hit a show and get the ANACS show special.
