Good evening all, On the obverse of this coin there are three marks in the head of Lincoln. Could someone please tell me what these are called and perhaps how they are made? Thank you.

It looks like they are raised in which case they are linear plating bubbles.
Not unusual on zincoins.

I'm going to bring us up to 50/50. Those look inset to me, in which case they are small damaged areas due to contact with another object. I think that the edges look way too sharp to be linear plating bubbles.

Added: well, two vs. one anyway as I now re-read the frog's reply.

the long lines look like roller lines on both obverse and reverse - the lines are oriented the same on both sides when flipped over. On Lincoln's head - just contact hits (damage)
