?I have two 1971 Kennedy half dollars Denver mint mark, that are both 40% silver clad from my experienced eye, mild testing, and looking for the obvious signs. One is in slightly circulated condition but has another error I believe to do with the die planchet. In the absolute center of the coin it has another circle surrounding Kennedy's head basically almost as if it was punched wirh something beneath the coin to slightly raise it in that center circle. The other is a color-tone variant but in nice conditon still. I would love even your opinion on them if that is all you would be able to provide? Thank you for your time!

@bus, first welcome to CCF. Second, can you please tell us the weight of both of these half dollars? Thx.

We will need weight. You can also try the tissue test. The area around the bust seems to be caused by a worn die, kinda common.

Yes, weights please. Unlikely you would have even one much less two.

In the worn example's edge shot, I think I see a shadow of the copper core peeking through the grime.
