Looking for guidance with this half dollar. It is damaged but I think it's a good date and mint. Do you bother grading this type of coin, or would the damage make it prohibitive? Thank you.
IMO it's a $500-$1000 coin with the hole and worth sending in to ANACS. I'd say it's about G-6 grade. With coins like this I usually think "where will I find another one".

The reverse image isn't showing up on my end. The obverse appears genuine and like thq said, $500 or a little better would be a value once authenticated. https://www.scoins.com/lot.aspx?a=27&l=875 This problem-free PCGS VG8 sold last summer for $1,770. I'd value your coin at about 1/3 of that amount. Best of luck!
Cool coin, even holed, it's a rarity, only 59,000 minted. If it's not holed, it probably doesn't hit the market. If you don't mind sharing, how did you happen upon it? Thanks for sharing.
