I stumbled across this coin recently. Got it for a decent price. I'm wondering if it is a very fat date DDO. I've looked at as many examples of this run that I can find and none of them have a fat date like this one. I'll have the coin in hand in a few days these are the true view images. What do you think?

This is a normal die for comparison:

Since I'm not an error collector I would think that's just circulation damage .

Thanks guys. I'll be back in a few days with very closeup pics. I've got a good feeling about it!
This coin grades au55 so I don't believe that it has anything to do with circulation flattening.

@Gary I was suspicious of this as well, so I looked through as many examples of this run that I could find(Heritage auctions, coinfacts, ebay, ext). You would think there would be far more lds and vlds coins than eds. This being the only example I could come up with made me think otherwise.
If you have seen or have another 18s with this anomaly please enlighten me. Thanks Will
