2022-P Quarter Maya Angelou, Possible Feeder Fingers?

crazedrooster New Member United States 25 Posts	Posted 11/18/2022 05:43 am I came across two rolls of the Maya Angelou quarters, over half of them were the drooling Washingtons at different stages of the die break/chip. Although a few of these quarters had what appears to be feeder fingers. The marks are on both sides of the coin. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 11/18/2022 1:51 pm Could be die scratches instead of Feeder Finger Damage. The angle doesn't look like the direction the FFD would be. The marks on the bust look like contact incuse marks making them look raised. (That area would not be affected by FFD. FFD affect the sub devices and the fields) The tops of the bust is deep into the die, and wouldn't be affected by FFD. Report this Post to the Staff
crazedrooster New Member United States 25 Posts	Posted 11/19/2022 07:01 am On the reverse and above the "Y" in MAYA are some of the marks I'm referring to, their in the field. They run from top left towards the bottom right before disappearing behind the eagle. Then they reappear in the field on the other side of the bust of Maya, below her left arm and beside her chest.
