Neat little baby Cud at 1K on the obv and what looks like a decent size die crack under the bust. Pigeonman333rd Valued Member United States 212 Posts	Posted 12/04/2022 11:14 am What that coin looks like is a common case of Mechanical Doubling. I'm afraid that is considered a flaw to most collectors but not me I would keep it label it Mechanical Doubling. Mechanical Doubling happens when the die machine components shake the die during a strike. The chances are some body wants that coin because its a 1943 P silver nickel and some may call the doubling a flaw but to some collectors they may see it as an opportunity to profess a new variety not necessarily a die variety but a Mechanical Doubling variety to collect aside from a nice strike. If its seen through out the whole coin that's pretty cool just enjoy it! Report this Post to the Staff

Machine Doubling that was a high bounce on those areas you are seeing affected on the tops of the devices.
