The auction had a list of coins and a picture: YOU ARE BIDDING ON A MIXED LOT OF COINS 5 Morgan silver dollars3 Buffalo nickels2 SILVER HALF DOLLARS 1 LADY LIBERTY SILVER QUARTER 1 1961 BI-CENTENNIAL QUARTER 3 WHEAT PENNIES 5 KENNEDY BI-CENTENNIAL HALF DOLLARS 33 Kennedy half dollarsTHIS LOT IS BEING SOLD AS IS ALL DATES ARE READABLE NO REFUNDS I looked at their feedback and saw that they had sold one other lot of Morgan dollars and no other coins. Obviously from reading the description.. they don't know anything about coins ("1961 bicentennial quarter.. lady liberty quarter"). I won the auction... Later, looking at the pictures zoomed in.. even though it's a terrible picture... they REALLY do not look like Morgan dollars to me. Or any other U.S. coinage, for that matter. i see 38 JFK half dollars, 3 Buffalo nickels, 3 cents, 2 Barber half dollars, 2 quarters.. and the rest, I am not sure. the coins in question are the 5 in the bottom left, and the big one in the second row from the bottom. any ideas?

size comparison with the Barber halves at the end of the same row theoretically would rule that out... though I agree the coin does appear to have the barber design.

Barber Dollars!! I'd pay a dollar for one of those. Could be an exceedingly rare pattern. Unfortunately, I'd guess these are made in "you know where".

They remind me of French francs coins. Can't bring out any detail from these photos though...

Was able to see a TINY bit more detail by inverting the colors...

My thinking was because of the angle of the photo the closer coins appear bigger than the same denomination coins in the back. If you look at the lower right, there appears to be a Barber quarter. If you look 2 rows up there appears to be Washinton quarters that look smaller.

I agree but regardless of where it is from you really take a chance when you bid on lots like this. Not all ebay sellers are honest. I hope this works out well.

If this helps, I pulled back on the highlights to resolve some detail: So where are those Morgans? Quote:Not all ebay sellers are honest. Umm....yeah, not all.

The coin in the center of the second row looks very much like a Walking Liberty half (with Buffalo nickels to the left of it for scale), in which case the size difference between that and the five coins in the left-front means that they're probably not silver dollars. They could possibly be Barber halves, with the ones on the right side being Barber quarters, or they could be something from another country, or fake. They're definitely not Morgans. Best of luck, but all I can say at this point is I hope you didn't pay too much...

Well, thanks to you guys...
I was able to cancel my payment before it cleared... :D
Now I am about to find the seller's phone number and get to the bottom of this.
Thanks for your help.
(And pyrbob.. I think you might be right on with what you said earlier.)
