Look closely at the reverse as well, because there is a rather common DDO / DDR for the 1940-S.

I'm not seeing a match at all for any RPM's like this one, nor for a DDO - let alone both on the same coin. I see the movement towards the rim so I may say DDD or MD.

It would appear to be MD. The listing that you referenced, WDDO-002 is a doubled die but what you are comparing is MD too, they actually say there is MD on the listed coin. When you have doubling going in the same direction on the date and mint mark, that's usually a tell tale sign of MD.
