Altered 1942-S Lincoln Cent To 1912-S

mrwhatisit Pillar of the Community United States 2951 Posts	Posted 11/22/2022 2:05 pm I have had this coin around for several years so not sure where I picked this up or how much I paid. I bought it fully believing it was a 1912-S. Come sometime later when I was looking at my other 12-S cents did I discover what I really had... Of course I now know that the mintmark is the wrong shape and the shoulder has the VDB on it. I know of the 44-D altered to 14-D, but this was a strange one.
