Hi:

This is a normal coin or a busy one but would like to share the observations and get feedback:

1. Is there a die clash in Lincoln's neck on the obverse?
2. Also on the obverse, is there a ghosting of Lincoln's face to the right of the bust?
3. Then on reverse, in the bay, is the column to the left of Lincoln sitting doubled or is that feature within tolerance of a normal strike?

Thanks for looking...

That is the area on the neck for clashes so I would say yes, The ghosting is hard to see but it looks like it could be. Next to Lincoln on rev. you should check on wexler or v.v. their are many doubled dies in that area to compare, for me, I would say yes anyway. Nice find over all.

Probably not a clash mark as nothing is seen on the other areas of the clash event areas. But if the die was polished and removed the other clash marks, it could be an area that was not removed? But not a plus for the coin. I've seen other areas affected before. But not on that area of the coin. The Date area is most often affected.

So I'm thinking it is not a clash mark.
