I found this coin roll hunting about 8 months ago it weighs 1.67 grams and the motto is UNITED WE STAND. I'm sending it off to PCGS in the next couple of days. Heritage Auction has no idea. I would really like to hear what you have to say?

What would it be other than a fantasy piece?
I don't see why they would slab it.

to the Community! Your coin has PMD —- Post Mint Damage. It is most likely due to someone with idle time in a machine shop using a lathe to remove the metal on the reverse of the coin. If you send it off, and it gets certified as a genuine US Mint error coin, I will gladly eat my fair share of a well-cooked Crow pie. I have made this offer numerous times on this forum over the years (under similar circumstances) and have NEVER had to cook one up! I don't expect to this time either! Will be patiently waiting the certification results!

It is not an error it is a fantasy piece, a magicians' coin. Send in if you like but you are wasting your money. John1

I agree, perhaps a Magician's coin. Just post mint damage, not anything made officially by the U.S. Mint. PCGS would be a waste of your non refundable grading fees. Keep searching! to the CCF!

@coin, first welcome to CCF. Second, while I agree with the others that the reverse of this piece was hollowed out on a lathe, perhaps to create a Magician's coin, I'm struggling a bit with what the host piece would have been. The phrase "UNITED WE STAND" appears on some civil war store tokens, such as from Broas Pie Maker, but as far as I can tell those were all patterned off of Indian Head cents. I'm going to move this thread over to the tokens subforum in the hope that someone there will be able to provide more input.

I believe I'm seeing a highly-worked fantasy piece.

To CCF , I agree with all above . Just a conversation piece ; Throw it into your coin junk box and show it once in a while to family and friends .

to the CCF This is not a genuine US mint issued coin in that state. It would be a complete waste of your money to submit to any TPG. Keep the grading fees and spend them on something worthwhile like gasoline or food.
