Hi all,
I've just came across this twenty dollar note from dads collection that appears to have a printed error.
Just wondering if anyone could enlighten me on what it could possibly be.

Looks like a 1994(?) John Flynn note, easy to say its been subjected to Acetone(or the like) but will leave it up to the specialist Note guys to comment..

Looks like it's been scratched off with a fingernail to me.

I cannot dismiss the possibility that some of the ink has been removed with a solvent.
To prove, experiment on a small area of a well worn Five Dollar polymer Note, with tiny drops of different solvents.

I hope only a small part of the $5 Note was affected, and you were stall able to spend it.
