I thought so... I am at the mercy of a shop on the other side of Italy sending pictures to my local shop....

Based on these photos it's a very nice coin, AU58 at least. Could be MS64, but need better images. Personally I'm too paranoid about gold counterfeits, especially these pieces. I would want it slabbed by a US TPG before buying.

Agree that it's at least AU-58 sharpness, but you have no idea how scuffed up it may be. And then, of course. is it genuine? Do you have the weight? Do you have return privileges?

Yes. I would have it in hand before buying. I could weigh and get better pictures. These were sent this morning. I asked for better pictures and will likely get a few on Monday. Based on the shoddy/shiny pictures I'm not seeing anything that jumps out as counterfeit... But, as has been pointed out, the pictures don't show too much. I've bought from this shop before and everything they've sold has been good. It's a reputable national chain of gold stores. My main concern is a Lebanese/middle east fake. They had a $5 liberty which was a counterfeit pointed out on this forum.

I agree it's tricky; I haven't bought it yet and may not. These forums have been invaluable though in researching and discussing these things

as you are aware lighting can hide a myriad of issues. you have no idea what the surfaces look like here.
grade wise no less than AU58. probably MS could be as high as MS64. if you want it and theres a return policy and the price is right it may be worth a shot. it could be $1500 or $2700 or it could be a details coin an quite a bit less. Roll the dice on this one if you want

I'll have better pictures on Monday; the gold shops here add no premium for numismatics; basically, I pay melt +4-6%.

@IDE...I waiting for you... Thanks for the reply. I'll get some better photos on Monday. Anything alarming jumping out about authenticity? I havent seen any tell tale signs of a counterfeit...

If buying, by these pics. I wouldn't give this coin a second thought. I mean there is no luster, No nothing

Not that this a big deal...but this looks like a 1910-D correct? Price guide shows 1910-P in MS at a higher price than the 10-D fwiw smat

Ok... So until I have it in hand... Likely the end of next week... This is probably the best photos I will get. Curious for some more opinions.
